History

Bark Packaging started in 1978 with selling Schütz IBC's (Intermediate Bulk Containers), steel and plastic drums for liquids in particular. Over the years, the range was continuously extended with plastic buckets, jerrycans, pots and closures. In 1995 it was further extended with tinplate, pails and UN-approved carton packaging for the transport of dangerous goods.
With effect from January 2000, Bark Packaging took over IBC supplier Pal-Con Plastics B.V., also established in Apeldoorn. Pal-Con Plastics was a supplier of durable and multi trip IBC's for bulk goods and liquids for both the food and the non-food industry. This, together with the
stainless steel and Schütz IBC's already belonging to the range, makes Bark Packaging the most extensive IBC supplier in the Benelux.

In March 2000, Bark Packaging took over the plastic bottle and jar producer Duo Plast in Haarlem. This takeover, in addition to the takeover of trading activities meant to a large extent also a takeover of production machinery. Immediately after the takeover,

this production equipment was moved to leading and specialised production partners. Therefore the plastic bottles and pots are now produced to our order by these partners.
In short, since 1978 Bark Packaging has developed into a ‘full-service one door shopping supplier' from bottles to closures, from plastic buckets to tinplate packaging, and from plastic drums to IBC's. The ease of all
packaging under one roof has thus become a fact for our customers.
